And if software for viewing these files is most likely already available on your devices, you’ll probably need something more for editing. The PDF format is more focused on saving and sharing documents in their original form. This format is actively used in printing, since most modern equipment allows you to do this without any additional software. The format is unique for storing information - you can put a password on PDF files, it includes an electronic signature mechanism, it can store both bitmaps and vector images, it is supported by all modern devices and it is easy to share with other users. Based on its name, the representation of documents in electronic form is its initial task. PDF (“ Portable Document Format”) is a cross-platform open format of electronic documents. And which one is better depends only on the job set. PDF and SVG - when working with graphics, you will have to face the question: “Which format is better suited for me?”.
